What project are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on the construction project to refurbish and modernise Frankfurt Central Station; more specifically, on the redesign of Level B, the station concourse and the station forecourt. The aim of the project is to significantly improve the quality of the passenger experience, help travellers find their way round and enhance their sense of safety.
What makes this project particularly exciting is the challenge of carrying out extensive construction work at one of Europe’s busiest stations without significantly disrupting day-to-day operations or the flow of passengers. This requires precise planning, close coordination with all parties involved and a high degree of organisational skill.
What is your personal highlight of your current project?
The great thing is seeing how complex processes are successfully implemented through good planning and teamwork. Organising things in confined spaces whilst operations are ongoing is a particular challenge, but one that we’re managing very well together.
What lessons are you taking away for future projects?

What advice would you give to young people looking to pursue a career in the construction industry?
I would recommend being open to new ideas and gaining practical experience. I started out as a bricklayer myself and, over several years, developed my skills to become a construction logistics specialist. Today, my experience enables me to make a significant contribution to ensuring that both small and large construction projects run smoothly.
What does “Work On Progress” mean to you?
To me, “Work On Progress” means that a project never stands still. It’s about continuously improving processes, learning from mistakes and constantly developing. In my day-to-day work, I put this into practice by regularly scrutinising workflows and optimising them together with the team.
Thank you,Muhammed, for your daily commitment, and we wish you every success as you continue to develop with us!
